The vehicle is just one year old and has just had the 24000 Km/1year service. The vehicle had actually done 25600 Km. The front brake pads were evenly worn to 2mm and had to be replaced. This is normal at 25000 Km. What is not normal is that the front rotors also had to be replaced. The left hand rotor was down to 26.4 mm, the right hand rotor 26.5 mm. Minimum rotor thickness is 26.4 mm. Of course the warranty on brakes conveniently runs out at 20000 Km just before the standard 24000 Km service. When I complained about it to the local Dodge service manager he said that this is quite normal and to expect for this wear pattern to continue. This means that every time the brake pads wear out the brake rotors will be worn out as well. This to my way of thinking is ridiculous. I have looked to see if anyone else has posted this problem on the net, but can only find a similar complaint about the Dodge Journey. I like to hear from other people, to see if they have had a similar experience and some advice on how to deal with this in relation to a claim on the manufacturer or dealer.
