Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Nitro. While the contact's vehicle was at a stop light, it was rear ended by another vehicle. As a result, the contact struck the preceding vehicle. The contact stated that the air bag in the headrest of the driver and passenger seats had a delayed deployment. The passenger seat was unoccupied. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the rear and front bumpers were replaced. The contact stated that the driver of the vehicle received a concussion and needed medical attention. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000. Updated 05/11/16

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Nitro. The contact stated that an abnormal noise emitted from under the vehicle and burning fumes entered the cabin. After inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the heat shield fractured without warning and rubbed against the driveshaft causing damages. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 13V121000 (air bags, power train, structure). The VIN was not available. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was to schedule an appointment to inspect and diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided no remedy. The VIN was unavailable. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

2010 Dodge Nitro. Consumer writes in regards to no air bag deployment after several vehicle accidents. The consumer stated the accidents were caused by him loosing control of the vehicle, during inclement weather. The vehicle was severely damaged.
