Dash is cracking everywhere. Also the VIN plate has also fallen and cannot be read by police and or state patrol. This is now an issue because of that and the sharp pieces that keep falling off.
The dash on my 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 is broken into pieces and getting worse I am worried about wires shorting out and causeing a fire and also the paint is almost gone from the roof and hood of the truck I have seen both issuses on many other Dodge trucks and think something should be done to compensate owners for the cost of repaires to there trucks its not our fault its a manufacture defect
The dash and lower dash bezel in my truck are crumbling more and more every day. Pieces fall of if you hit a bump in the road. The cup holders are no longer functional because of this and if it continues like it is the gauge cluster will no longer be held in place. Ontop of all this if the vehicle were involved in a wreck where the air bags deployed the passenger would get a face full of plastic shards from the dash ( what little is left of it) resulting in injury and possible blindness.Dodge has plenty of resources and money to fix this issue. Yes the vehicle is 20 years old and out of warranty but there are plenty of vehicles much older with solid dashes still in one piece. Dodge claims this is just cosmetic but as broken as mine its become more than that. Im sure they would rather pay to have some dashes replaced with better materials than a lawsuit when someone is injured by the defective plastic.
The contact owns a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500. The vehicle's dashboard has cracked from the windshield wipers to the steering column. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer. The current mileage is 104,271 and failure mileage was 94,000. Update 04-02-08

Hello, I would like to complain about my 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. The dash is cracked from over the steering wheel all the way to the windshield. I am afraid that if I were to be in an accident, that something from that crack my not let my airbag deploy. I also have a friend wreck his Dodge with a crack in the dash and the airbag didn't deploy at a 85 mph. Crash. I am afraid for my life and the life of others who would drive my truck.
This truck body started breaking out behind the cab soon after I bought it. The engine has never ran right from day one. It was in the Dodge shop numerous times because of poor fuel milage, and then Dodge finally agreed to send the truck to cummins. Cummins found that truck had bad milage also and wrote letter to Dodge stating the problems they found. Dodge more or less said tough, don't bother us! the engine had boken push rod at low milage and now an injector melted top out of piston ruining the engine.
My truck is a two-tone truck with green being the primary color and a silver/gray being the secondary color. The silver/gray paint began bubbling and peeling approximately a year and a half ago. Since this time I have talked to and seen other trucks that this same color is doing the same. What do I need to do to get this fixed?
While driving at 60 mph the oil light came on, causing the consumer to pull over, and the vehicle died out. The vehilce wouldn't move anywhere. Took the vehicle to the dealer and the dealer said the engine blew out.
