First, NEVER go to the dealership to have a code pulled. They will charge you around $85+ to have an official mechanic pull a code. Go to VIP they will do it for free. I got two codes, P1281 & P1491. P1281 is engine to cold to long, replace the thermostat with a factory gauged one at 190 degrees. An easy fix should take any non-mechanical person like myself 1.5hours to fix. P1491, is a bit more complicated. Start with the cheap fixes, replace fuse #39 w a new 25amp fuse. its .41 cents at VIP, if that doesn't work, replace the AC Condenser Fan Relay #59 (its the first big black fuse closer to the engine) should run you around $14 for the part. My trouble was, there are no aftermarket parts for this, so i had to go to the dealership, and they had to order it. it that doesn't fix it, replace the fan, should be around $100 for that, or go to a junk yard and get it for way less.
its a real pain in the ass fix and its causing me more time to resolve than to fix, so if i can save you the trouble of figuring this all out then ill be happy.. Next time i buy a truck, im going toyota.. screw dodge, cause this one sucks.
