I bought my truck used from a small time dealer. It seemed to be in good shape inside and out and ran great. I change my oil every 3,000 miles faithfully because i know how expensive repairs can be if you abuse a vehicle. It all started with a knocking when i would first start it. I brought it to the garage and they said it was nothing to worry about. A few months later i loose all oil pressure and blow my engine. The dodge dealer said they found sludge and a blown oil pump. The estimate price the dodge dealer gave me was over seven thousand dollars! Who the hell can afford that well making payments on a truck like this? To make a long story short i found a used motor at a salvage yard for four thousand dollars instead of seven. This is still an outrage that a motor with just over 100,000 miles blows. Watch out if your thinking about buying one of theses trucks im not the first to have this problem and i wont be the last.
