As I got out of my truck one day I noticed there was a hissing coming from one of my tires. Upon closer inspection I found that the base of the valve stem on one of my tires was cracked and leaking.

The side walls of all the tires that came with the truck are unzippering around the sidewall near the writing. It is in a circular path all the way around the tires. The tires are properly inflated. I have seen the same damage to other truck tires of the same style. I was told by good year it is normal for this to happen. The left front tire was removed for safety reasons. I was told it was in danger of a sidewall blow out. It will not even hold air. It leaks out of the crack.

Dear sir, I recently purchased 2 tires from www.tirerack.com within the last month and had them mounted and balanced by an authorized dealer. Last night I had a complete tire failure while on the expressway which could have been fatal. The tire that failed had less than 100 miles on it and was checked the day before for proper tire inflation. This tire failure could have cost me as well as my family, our lives. I will not purchase the same Goodyear tire again. The tire that failed was a Goodyear Eagle ls 275/55/R20 any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Complaint received via E-mail.") I exchanged the 4th tire off my pickup. It is a Goodyear LT235/80R17 with many side wall open wide, cracks. It was done at West tire, 4000 hwy 281 North, , marble falls, TX78654 phone 830/693-0475, ,fax 830/693-0602. It would be nice if you would impound that casing for your examination and fact finding. There was no accident or hard hitting a curb involved, it just appeared the tire had 10./32nds rubber left of 15/32nds and was discovered at an oil change, surely these many failures are worth examining."

I recently purchased a new 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. The tire placard on the inside of the door jam has the incorrect tire size on it. It states that the vehicle was manufactured with 15" tires when in fact I purchased it new (3 miles on the vehicle) with 20" tires installed. The oe window sticker shows that 20" tires were installed on the vehicle from the factory. How do I know what the correct tire pressure or correct tire size tire for the vehicle is. This is the second new Dodge that I have bought in the last 2 years and the last had the same problem. Is it not required that the tire placard be accurate.
