I am a ASE Certified auto technician for Toyota. So yeah I work on my own vehicles, I'd be stupid if i didn't. I did my first brake job on my truck, I take the first caliper off on the driver side, the inside brake pad is melted to the piston. I am thinking WTF?! so yeah I separated the brake pad from the piston, what do I find out, the brake caliper piston is cracked, crumbling, falling apart!!!!!! This truck is not even a year old at the time. I know this material because, ford used to use it in their box trucks in the 90's which they did away with because of how unsafe it is to use. Its called Felnic material, its a combination of sawdust, epoxy, and plastics!!!!!! alll compressed together to mold car parts. Daimler Chrysler seems to think that making the object that stops your 6000lb truck isn't that important, and saving them money is more important then lives. Let me be the first to warn you all if you don't know yet, your pistons can be crumbling as you drive and you don't even know it, and you'll find out one day by pushing your brake pedal and nothing happens. I had written letter, emails, made phone calls, i went to 4 different dealerships on long island , and no one would honor the warranty , NO ONE. I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFE EVER OWN A P.O.S. AMERICAN VEHICLE EVER AGAIN IVE HAD IT WITH OUR COUNTRY ITS SH*T. F*CK YOU DAIMLER CHRYSLER F*CK YOU!
