Both the gas gauge and the Distance till empty (DTE) fluctuate from full to empty. I'll turn the truck on and it will say 3/4 tank and the DTE will say 195mi. Then I can watch both the gas gauge and the computer steadily go down. The low gas light will come on then it will read empty. It will also go up in the same fashion. If the truck sits for a while it seems to have the right level indicated but as soon as I drive it, it starts moving. I'll turn it off and I'll get a different reading when I turn it right back on. I thought that the battery being week might be causing it so I replaced it to no avail.
On a side note I had a leak in my drivers side tail light and it filled with water and broke the bulb. I fixed the leak and replaced the bulb and every once in a while I'll get a lamp out light but when I check the bulb, its not burnt out. Don't know if they're related.
I have a Superchips programmer and have looked for DTC's but none are being shown.
