The volume of air coming from my defroster is inadequate to keep the windshield clear from fog and frost. I have read several on line articles about this problem and it seems quite a few people are having the same issue. I live in California and could only imagine how someone living in a colder climate is dealing with this problem. This definitely can cause an unsafe condition by hampering your vision while driving.

A very dangerous problem with my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pick-up is occurring on a daily basis when I use the turn signal - windshield wiper - high beam " multi-switch". when trying to signal a left turn by pushing down on the "multi-switch" lever(left turn signal flashes two or three times then right turn signal activates uncommanded) if I try to engage the right turn signal some times it won't signal / flash at all. My truck only has 46,000 miles on it, not a good testimate for Dodge. I read in a Dodge repair website / forum that a lot of the same problems are occurring with the Dodge Ram pick-ups and mini vans. (all years) is there a recall or will a recall be considered in the near future?

Broken blend door in heating plenum causing loss of defroster use. A major safety hazard in cold weather. In searching the web it appears to be a common problem.

The turn signal/wiper/lights assembly appears to have failed. When attempting to make a right turn signal, nothing happens. When making a left turn signal, the right signal happens instead. Now, everything has failed. No brights, no turn signals, no wipers. Researching on the internet, especially on the Dodge truck forums, it seems to E quite a common problem. In fact that is where I got the link to this form to fill out.

When I turn on my left turn signal my right turn signal blinks. Some times my wipers won't come on or stop running. I am told that the multifunction switch needs to be replaced. This is definitely a safety issue.

My windshield wipers do not work properly - I only turn them on in the rain, in western Washington state. I turn wipers on, and have to pull over because they will not work, and I cannot see. This happens daily because of the amount of rain.

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. The blinkers don't operate properly, they blink on both sides whenever they want and now the wiper blades work inconsistently. This has been going on since September, 2010, approximately 4 months. Need to replace the blinker handle on steering column.

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. The windshield wipers work incorrectly. They may work fine or they may stop half way and quit, or not even work at all! I had the same issue with my old 1997 Chevy S-10 truck, and it was fixed under a recall. My Dodge has the exact same issue.

Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) I was driving my 2005 Dodge 1500 truck in rain, wipers just stop working, then after a few minutes would start working again. It did not cause accident, but could have if raining harder. Now I don't want my spouse driving the truck with my little girl. The dealer says no recall on 2005, but there is a wiper recall on 2009. The dealer also said they have seen the problem many, many times, and have parts in stock to repair, but I will have to pay for repair. I've contacted Chrysler and have a complaint [xxx], all they told me was to have it repaired and keep invoice in case a recall is issued so I can be reimbursed. This is not acceptable to me. Seems like someone has to die to get something done. Thank you

When heading to work, was going approximately 70 mph on the interstate when I looked in sideview mirror and saw smoke coming from my vehicle. At that same time, I heard a loud roaring noise for a few seconds, then my driver's side wheel came off. The wheel crossed over into the East-bound lane of the interstate (I was heading West), and the brake calipers broke off. Even though my brakes and tire were gone, I was able to get my vehicle to the side of the interstate without causing injury to myself or others. All this also caused body damage to the front quarter panel of my truck, making it difficult to open and close the driver's side door. I retrieved my tire and had a tow truck take my vehicle to the local Dodge dealership where I purchased the truck. They advised me they had never heard of this happening before. I've now been informed the repairs consist of replacing the hub, spindle, brake caliper, rotor, brake line, brake pads, and a new tire (the other tire blew out) at a cost of $2000. I have requested the old parts be given to me in case this issue needs to proceed with an investigation. I have done research that revealed the 2006 Dodge Ram trucks were recalled for this exact same problem (wheel bearing assemblies not receiving enough lubrication at the factory causing them to lock up and cause crashes). But since my vehicle is a 2005, Dodge refuses to acknowledge responsibility.
