The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. While the vehicle was being serviced at huntington beach Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (16701 beach blvd, huntington beach, ca 92647, (714) 841-3999), the contact was informed that the lug nuts on all four wheels were swelling and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and did not assist. The approximate failure mileage was 76,507.

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle started to shake. The failure recurred multiple times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the two front tire lug nuts were loose. The lug nuts was tighten, but the failure recurred. The contact replaced the lug nuts independently, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 7,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. While the vehicle was parked at an independent mechanic for a tire rotation the mechanic stated the lug nuts could not be removed due to rust. The lug nut caps swelled and the wrench the vehicle was equipped with would not fit over the lug nuts. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated the warranty would not cover the repair cost. The approximate failure mileage was 36,000. Updated 11/08/11 the decorative cap, over the lug nut is was too large due to the inside lug nut rusting. The factory lug nut wrench won't fit the lug nut. Updated 11/14/11
