I have had this same problem on my Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 quad cab. Left tie rod stud/stablizer bar replaced June 2011, had to pay for alignment as well. Is the NHTSA looking into the same problems with the Ram 1500 models" when will the 1500 models be added for the same defect and be recalled" to be recalled are 2008-2011 Ram 2500 and 3500 4X4 models; 2008-2011 Ram 3500 cab chassis 4X2 models; 2008 Ram 1500 mega cab 4X4 models; and 2003-2008 Ram 2500 and 3500 models, according to a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

I am the owner of a 2008 Dodge Ram mega cab. The truck currently has 30,000 miles and is 3 years old. Recently I have experienced the so called "death wobble" several times. The vehicle will travel over a series of bumps at speed or one larger bump and the truck will shake uncontrollably until speed is reduced. Through research I have found that this dw is a common problem with the Dodge truck.

2008 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab 4X4: The outer tie rod ends went at 48,000 miles. I started getting vibration in the steering. Had to have them replaced and the front end aligned at my expense. Checked for safety recall and there was nothing. Have heard from dealership that several other people have had the same problem. Also tires are rotated every 5,000 miles when the oil is changed. Still have a slight pull to the left though. Still have old outer tie rod ends.

When traveling on interstate, at speeds of 55-65, I experienced the truck shift to the right when hitting a bump. Took truck back to dealer and he suggested rotating the tires. This occurrence has happened several times, scares the wife at times. Happy I bought the truck, it's sad they won't investigate the problem.

The two front struts on our 2008 Dodge are leaking. This is a part covered under the extended warranty. The issue is that this part is on a national back order with Chrysler. This is an issue that for whatever reason is not considered a recall item. This item also causes the front tires to deteriorate and go flat regularly. Tires are not covered under warranty so this becomes an expense and/or burden on the owners. This is also a safety issue because the vehicle is not able to properly maintain a lane in traffic when there are changes in road texture, pot holes, or if there are road deterioration issues. These changes cause the vehicle to bounce out of control and it makes it difficult to safely maneuver the vehicle in traffic. We have talked to several service managers who have all confirmed this issue. It is a nationwide issue that needs to be handled for the safety of our roads and highways.

I has both front shocks go out on my 2008 Dodge Ram. I rarely drive this truck and they shouldn't have gone out. The leaking shocks also damaged my driveway and Chrysler refuses to take car of it. Don't buy a Chrysler product.

Front shocks both blew out leaking all of their fluid out. Ride became very poor. Manufacturer should recall and redesign the front shocks.
