Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving at 10 mph and coming to a stop, the driveshaft failed. The contact repaired the vehicle and replaced the driveshaft. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 13V038000 (power train). The vehicle was serviced under the recall but the remedy failed to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 55,000.

2010 Dodge Ram truck. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle rear wheel issues. The consumer stated he was towing a small U-haul trailer when the drive shaft disconnected from the rear differential and caused the rear wheels to lock up, and the vehicle came to a screeching halt. The consumer referenced recall # 12V474000. Updated 10/22/13
