Air conditioning went hot. They told me that they detected a leak in the evaporator, which is of course, under the dash....

Totally fed up. I refuse to drive a $42k truck that does not have A/C. The A/C is a FACTORY DEFECT which DODGE should FIX regardless of warranty period. I have had this truck in 5 times for A/C problems. The condenser is OPEN to damage because of the way the truck is designed. The compressor just plain SUCKS. Whoever DODGE is getting their compressors from, there is no quality control. After putting the THIRD compressor on n the A/C STILL didn't work I traded the truck in for my very first FORD. NO DODGE EVER AGAIN. They have great commercials...but the goods just don't hold up to the hype.

Since the service department was already upset that I had the GALL to bring my truck back AGAIN because they didn't fix it, I spoke with the GM, Cody Foster. I told GM the service department charged me $1800 to PULL THE DASH because THEY BELIEVED that was were the LEAK was, which was not the case. The service department said they were going to have to charge me AGAIN for removing the dash to see what they missed. I told him I didn't feel I should have to pay for that twice...THEY should have found it the first time. HE SAID he agreed n would get with the Service department to get my truck. HE DID get with service BUT sided with them n said he would split the $1800 charge with me. WHAT??? He felt his service guys had done their best. So they kept the truck the whole week, charging the a/c system with NITRO n FINALLY GOT THE COMPRESSOR TO FAIL...AHHHH THIS MUST BE THE LEAK. A/C worked all the way home but not COLD like it should have been on full blast. The truck sat for 2 days n WAAAALAAA NO A/C AGAIN. I called the GM n explained the problem, he said I needed to have SOMEONE ELSE look at the truck which was my plan anyway. BUT I SHOULD GET ALL THE MONEY BACK FROM BLAKE FULENWIDER CLYDE, TX...GM,Cody Foster, said THAT wasn't going to happen. So I'm out $3k+ n still NO working A/C. WHY SHOULD THEY KEEP THE MONEY WHEN THEY DIDN'T FIX IT????

The lies were rampant from service. They kept my truck 2 weeks with NO LOANER. I live 60 miles away n had to pay EXTRA to have items delivered to farm since I didn't have my TRUCK. Eight work days later the service TEAM says they still cannot find the 'LEAK'. I called SERVICE MGR n told him if the leak detector couldn't find the leak then there was something WRONG WITH THE LEAK DETECTOR. NEXT DAY, THEY "found" the leak in the condenser n replaced it. Ready for pick up on Friday. A/C quit before I drove the 60 miles home. I called the service department to let them know I would be bringing the truck back on Monday...they were not nice.

Was told the 2006 was having MASSIVE A/C FAILURES but because it wasn't a SAFETY issue DODGE refused to recall or pay for repairs.

Trans. was rebuilt by the dealer 2 times in the last 6 years. Now it is going out again. The tack has not worked in the last 2 years. Had to have A/C replace in truck last week. They say the instrument pannel needs to be replaced to fix tack at a cost of 800.00. dollars. The truck is not even 7 years old yet and is costing an arm and leg to keep because of factory defects. Should have bought a chevy.

This truck is a piece of . A/C compressor went out at 60K. Also, the drivers door window motor makes a cracking noise. The paint is starting to flake, the interior of this truck just is cheap. The truck is a 50K grocery getter. The front is shot on this truck. It have never seen dirt much less been put into 4 wheel drive!!....the dealer wants 1,600.00 for a new front end.

The only good thing about this truck is the gas mileage and the simplicity of the cummins motor. Otherwise the truck itself is a piece of *.

My 1997 Powerstroke 4x4 Ford F-250 never ever gave this kind of problems and I put 250K on that truck.

Living in Florida, AC is a big deal. This unit went out when the truck was only 4 years old. Not only did I replace it once, but I had to take it back 2 month later because it went out again. So far, it has been a year, and the repair seem to be holding. This is one of the more expensive repairs, but one of many.

ac not working properly ac not working properly ac not working properly

Noticed my air conditioner was not working properly . fan was making noise on high.So I went down and bought a new fan motor and went to install only to find out a part of a door was in the fan and the door was laying inside broken. Went to the dealership and they said this is quite common and they are now using a different material to make the door. They will fix my door for Approx. $600.00 dollars. they know theres a problem but its cheeper for then to deal with it as the complaints come in not a good way to run a business. I'm going to contact Dodge and we will see what happens will let you all know

Update from Feb 20, 2011: OK I contacted Dodge Customer Assistance Center and told them of my problem . I received a responce one day later saying they were going to send my problem to the appropriate area for there attention. I was given a case number and was contacted the following work day by a very nice professional customer service person, Stacy. I had my dealer repair the door and sent her a copy of the paid repair order and two days later she called and told me that Dodge would treat this as a extended warranty claim. Total cost of the repair was $593.68 and they would send me a check for 493.68 which I received a few days later. My dealer told me not to expect any help from Dodge. Because Dodge took care of me I will be doing all my Car and Truck shopping At Dodge and I tell everyone I know about the New Chrysler Groups customer service it's #1 in my book.
