Ram 2500 6-cyl Diesel

Continuously leaking power steering gear box. This is the 2nd replacement in less than 3500 miles and 3 months. When the vehicle is turning, it will squirt power steering out of the adjustment screw on top of the gearbox. Going 15-19 mph, the front end begins to vibrate; I can feel it in steering wheel but do take notice in the front end shaking. Not bad now but seems to be getting worse. The sound of coins can be heard in the ashtray/coinholder. Is there something going on here that needs to be looked at. Dodge dealership advises I need to buy a new steering gear box. How many do you have to buy" I am getting ready to buy my 3rd one in 4 months!!!! does this help steering" Dodge will not even look at this; I feel all they want to do is sell parts.

Owner had a head on collision with a tree. Although there were brake marks, there seemed to be a loss of steering control. Alchol was not a factor in the incident. The vehicle was deemed a total loss and remains on hold for inspection by Dodge (which will hopefully done in a timely manner-asap). There were many documents of repairs to the vehicle which I disposed of before finding this recall notice. It was purchased in 2014 by current driver.

The passenger side outer tie rod end fell out of the wheel. Violent shaking occurred but kept it in control and I stopped. Before this happened, in may of this year I stopped in to see if my vehicle had the tie rod that was under recall notice. The technician looked underneath and said "no your vehicle does not have the defective part." Monday after this incident, I called Chrysler and told them what happened and the representative (beth) since you did not have the malfunctioning (recall) part and because of the mileage on the truck, that there is nothing they can do. But she said to keep your receipts for repair in case there would be a recall notice for that part. I saved the defective part and had it fixed by an independent auto care specialist.

When hitting a small bump with the right tire the whole front end began to shake uncontrolably with difficulty steering. Had to bring the truck to a complete stop on the side of the highway. There was a semi right behind me that had to swerve to miss hitting me while I tried to control the vechile. Dodge has said there is a death wobble and are aware of it, but no recall at this time. Also Dodge told me that it was a manufacure defeact and I could pay to have it fix. Have already spent $1800 dollars replacing ball joint, tirieds, bearings. Etc and still has the death wobble and unable to drive or sell due to the danger of accident.

I severe steering wobble at highway speed after hitting a bump/ pothole in the roadway. S wobble stopped upon slowing. While driving can feel something bumping in the steering wheel anytime you hit a bump while on slight turn. I contacted several dealers in the Ohio West Virginia area I explained my difficulty they stated they only get parts to repair 1 vehicle per week. They stated there is a list over a hundred people and they could not help me even though they stated having possession of parts to perform 6 recalls either N 62 or H47. Elm grove Dodge in elm grove wv and bob caldwell Chrysler Plymouth in columbus Ohio also stated having parts to do 4 recalls they also stated having a long list and only receiving 1 recall part per week. The dealer in ri paul bailey Dodge in North kingstown gave me this same story months ago said they would put me on the list as we'll. They never called. I contacted daimler Chrysler 7/2/14 advised of them of my situation and I'm awaiting a follow up phone call 7/3/14 to advise me if they have found a dealer to assist me. I offered to drive 3 hours to caldwell Chrysler in columbus Ohio. Also I offered to leave the truck for a week or 2 for them to complete the repairs. This is a very serious condition. Ps I offered to buy the part they stated the new customer pay part requires the purchase of 3 additional steering linkage parts as the steering linkage has been upgraded and the new parts are not compatible with the oem parts installed new at the factory. However the tie bar associated with the recall is designed to be compatible with the oem steering linkage thus making it not necessary to replace 3 other steering parts daimler would not have to pay for. Please advise asap.

I received a recall notice in the mail this spring regarding a left tie rod replacedment. I notified don davis Dodge in el campo, Texas and they stated that they were waiting on parts. I contacted them several times and received the same answer. I called the complaint hotline on 3/10/2014. This week I received another recall notice in the mail for the same thing. I drove to el campo again today, June 1, 2014 and contacted the service department again with don davis Dodge, and now they are saying that they have replaced the tie rod on several vehicles lately and have recently been notified that these replacement parts are not good, and they are still waiting on new parts for this recall. This seems to be the same problem at many Dodge dealers. I can no longer drive this truck due to this defective part. When I turn to the right I feel it popping in the steering wheel and I was told by the service department at don davis that this is the symptom. They said that they replaced the tie rods on 2 vehicles that had just broken. Now, I can not drive this truck until I get this corrected. I use this truck to haul cattle and I need answers and assistance now. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
