Ram 2500 Cummins Diesel

  • Automatic transmission
  • 3,000 miles

From the first month of purchasing this vehicle in 2006, periodically, when I shift into reverse it doesn't catch the gear and it's like being in neutral. I need to wiggle the shifter to get it to catch. Annoying like many other issues I have had with this truck.

Ram 2500 5.9L Hemi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 55,000 miles

Continuation of problem that has not ever been completely fixed by the dodge dealership. The transmission has a lag when cold of going into gear, sometimes it seems like the emergency brake is on (but it is not).

Ram 2500 5.9L Hemi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 35,000 miles

The transmission did a loud clunk when I shifted into drive and then shortly after that went into what the dodge dealership called limp mode.

Ram 2500 Laramie 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 81,000 miles

On vacation, and the transmission had a hard time shifting from 2nd to 3rd. Went to a couple of shops, and got some bids. I got bids from $5,000, $2,500 to $1,500. I finally got a hold of a good mechanic. He adjusted the bands on the transmission, and it seems to be running well. Not sure hope I don't have to repair the transmission at 81,000 mils.

Ram 2500

  • Automatic transmission
  • 400 miles

This started within the same month I bought it. I have taken it in several times and they keep telling me there is nothing wrong. I can't get it to duplicate when I take the transmission specialist out. I have had to bring truck in numerous times for computer chip issues. It doesn't shift correctly and now at $50K miles it won't go in to park and I find my self getting in my truck the next morning only to find it didn't go into park when it showed the P lighted up. I have extended warranty up to 75K and with my luck it will go out completely right after my warranty expires. Don't like transmission in Dodge Truck wish I had bought another Chevrolet Duramax diesel
