Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

I hit a medium size bump in a construction zone on I-70 East in Ohio and the steering wheel started shaking violently from side to side, the truck was shaking violently and I had to drop speed from 55 to 30 to regain control of the steering wheel, I almost caused an accident next to me and from behind. I am an active Ohio firefighter and ex-Ohio law enforcement officer, this problem needs to be addressed by Dodge. I just came back from getting repairs on a recall for the tie rod assembly at thomas Chrysler in St. Clairsville Ohio. Someone is going to die with this problem and that's to high of a price to pay to resolve this problem. Please have this investigated.

This government vehicle has been deemed 'unsafe' to drive due to the affected unavailable parts. I have checked with the dealership to see if the parts can be brought from another location, to no avail. This vehicle has been 'out of service' for months while we wait for the part. It is our only longbed truck and used heavily during the current fire season. It is necessary to get this vehicle back in service and feel this is an unacceptable length of time to wait.

Ram 2500 6-cyl Diesel

  • 52,000 miles
There was a safety recall on my Dodge pickup - safety recall number N62 / NHTSA 13V-528. The recall notice was for a left tie rod and issued in January 2014. Reported calls to multiple Dodge dealerships have not been productive since they all repeatedly state that they do not have the parts for the repair. My truck's front end now shakes and makes a loud noise as well as the steering wanders and is not safe. I have no alternative but to take the truck to a private shop to get the truck fixed as it is a severe safety hazard and is unsafe to drive and I need to use the vehicle as it is my only mode of transportation. They stated that they will not reimburse me for the work and were not amenable to travel a few miles to drive the vehicle to experience the issues, for which they still don't have parts to fix. Calls to dealerships and to Dodge have not proved fruitful; they don't care about consumer safety or inconveniences. I want to be repaid for the work that is to be performed to make the vehicle safe again.
