Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2003 Dodge Ram 3500. The contact stated that there was premature cracking and deterioration of the dashboard. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and provided no solution other than for the contact to replace the part. The dealer stated that to complete NHTSA campaign number: 15V312000 (air bags), the dashboard would also need to be replaced. Takata recall- in March of 2016, a recall was issued for the passenger side air bag. I have contacted two different dealerships, lithia motors in grants pass or.in August of 2016 and rancho Chrysler Jeep Dodge in san diego, on Oct 10, 2016. Both dealerships advised that replacement parts are not available and neither location has received any nor do they know when they will receive any. Do you have any information when this situation will be resolved?
