The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500. The contact stated that while parked, the vehicle became engulfed in flames. The fire department was called and a report was filed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and had an engineer inspect the vehicle. The engineer determined that the fire began in the engine compartment due to the battery. The vehicle was destroyed. The approximate failure mileage was 89,000. Updated 05/16/2014 status update. 02/26/15.

Ram 3500 4WD Diesel

2005 Dodge Ram 3500 4X4 cummins diesel engine #4 injector tube (line) cracked and sprayed entire engine compartment with fuel due to the fact that it happened wile driving the under carriage was fuel soaked also. I had it towed to a dealer for repair. Dealer said it was not covered by warranty and I was charged for repair.
