The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500. The contact stated that while traveling 58 mph, steam emitted from under the hood. The vehicle stalled and the steering became difficult to maneuver. The contact applied the brakes and merged to the side of the road. The contact stated that after inspecting the vehicle, he noticed that the fuel lines erupted causing a fuel leak. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The technician diagnose that the fuel lines needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was 68,000 and the current mileage was 69,925.
