Stratus SE 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 103,000 miles

Transmission started making noise and slipping but was only a couple of blocks from home so it made it to the driveway. No real warning signs until the end. The transmission fluid had been serviced at 50k miles and again at 98k miles so I thought it would be good for a while. Turns out they had just done a flush but didn't change the filter and it had became clogged starving the transmission of fluid. The transmission shop said this happened on Chrysler transmissions if the filter was not changed. So if you have a Chrysler have the filter changed.
