I'm not really sure of year or mileage when the rocker panels started to rust as I'm buying this as a used car. The damage is bad - paint has peeled away and metal is also peeling away. Not sure how to fix this problem as I'm not sure how extensive the rust is until the car is on the hoist for an under-body inspection. Definitely not good for me as a used car buyer and finding out that the rocker panels are part of what holds the entire car body together on the frame! I don't think the rocker panels should be rusting this bad as the car really isn't that old.
