tHE CAR HAD BEEN IDLING ROUGH ABOUT A MONTH. DRIVING TO WORK AT A STEADY 55 MPH, ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR STARTED SLOWING DOWN, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. i TRIED TO GIVE IT GAS, NO RESPONSE. THE CAR HAD QUIT I GOT TO EMERGENCY LANE WITH HAZARDS ON, THE BRAKES WOULD NOT STOP ME. EMERGENCY BRAKE WORKED. TOWED TO HOUSE, MECHANIC FRIEND BROUGHT DIAGNOSTIC TO HOUSE, HOOKED UP, CAN ONLY FIND MISFIRE IN CYLINDER 1. THE PLUGS WERE CHANGED TWICE, PRE-GAPPED. THE CAR STILL WILL START WITH RPM'S HIGH AROUND 9, THEN IT DIES. WE ARE STILL TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT. PLEASE HELP ANYONE!!!!!!!
