4 door sedan - 4 cylinder - first system - AC vents quit working in the dash front - took in and they were working fine and have been since - had new plugs and wires put on. On highway only - going uphill - step on gas - car revs to 4 rpms then drops to 2 rpms and acts like it has no power - rpms ramp but no acceleration - have to step on and off the gas. Dangerous condition as the speed drops and you are in heavy highway traffic.

It is an intermittent problem - took to shop - no codes showed on diagnostic - was told it could be the fuel pump - I am going to try replacing the ignition coil (since you really should replace that when you replace plugs and wires) - cost $70. I will post to let everyone know if that was the problem. I bought this car in 2005 used and never had any problem with it at all and it has really run great.

ok so heres the problem. i bought this car in 2008. less than 1yr after the entire computer fried , i had been sold a lemon car, they wouldnt tell me what was actually wrong with it when i took it in, they kept my car for 5 1/2 months without offering me a rental, i finally get my car back and had to pay 980 for repairs that they didnt do, i had to take it to a doge dealership where they informed me it was my computer, had to buy a new one that cost around 800 and when i got it back a month after, the check ingine light came on and it started this struggle to acclerate it had a horrible rough/low idle, it makes this weird clicking noise/ shudder when i am acclerating, but hasnt been too bad till a couple of months ago, now its extemely bad< im afraid im going to die on my way to work, its shuddering and failing to acclerate in mid traffic on the interstate.. it has almost caused me to wreck multiple times,

my brother works on cars and hes been doing som research, appearently this is caused by the 1st cyclinder, its actually the valve cover as well , its a manufacture defect, but there hasnt been enough consumers with this car having the same problems. thats why when you take to the dealership they say theres nothing wrong, when there is> they dont wanna pay for their mistakes. or at least admit them.. they will tell you that you have to replace the entire head of the engine, not to mention the labor they will charge you, puts the total to 5,000 +

the fix is to buy aonther car. f*ck these piece of sh*t cars from dodge..
