Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

While driving on an interstate at night at 70mph the car turned off its propulsion system without warning. A red warning indicator came on staying stop safely now. My wife was able to pull to the side of the interstate. She turned the car off and it restarted. The next day she drove it to the supermarket. On the 2 mile drive home it stopped multiple times while the car was in motion just like it had on the interstate. This seems very similar to the problems that led to a recall on the Ford Focus electric, which was made in the same plant at the same time in 2013:
