2003Jun 03

(reported on)

Contour LX

  • 70,000 miles

After car is running for an hour, the car looses power and jerks. Eventually, the car can only go about 25 MPH.

Several Mechanics have looked at the car. After Tune up and other "routine" diagnostics, the cause is still unknown. Now they want to rebuild the transmission.

I woiuld like to know if anyone elas knows the cause for this problem.
