I just previously completed a form, I tried to make corrections due to the fact that my E-mail address was wrong. No safety defect. (tiresize: 15)( dot number: Tire size: 15 )
Tire blowed out on driver side - front on intrrstate. Total tire peeled just like Firestone tire. The tire was torn up down to the rim. When I took it for repair when it first happen, the dealter I carried it to told me not to get it fix, take it back where I purchased it because it was a bad defect in the tire. Tires don't just peel like that. This tire peeled just like a recap trearing up the rim, messing up the traction control and anti-lock brake syatem, sctrached up the fender, tore the plastic underneath surrounding tire, had wires hanging down, broke the headlight and tore up the side skirt on the car. I carried it back where I got it from and when the manager came to look at the tire, he stated that the tire shouldn't have torn up like that. The tire had cuts all over it, . I took pictures of my car and the tire. It was unbelievable for me to see a tire that torn up. There was a lot sound and the steel belt was torn up like strings. The top peeling of the tire was left in the road. It threw me in the other lane on to the side of the road. I hurt my back and got shook up real bad. I;M sstill having nightmares because their was an 18 wheeler right behind me. It was god's will he didn't hit me. They said they would fix my car and purchase another tire, but what about my pain and suffering and the fact that I can't drive my car because there's a scrubbing sound and the ABS light, nor traction light will go off. While driving 60 mph had a tire blowout, and lost control. Vehicle spun around and had a frontal impact with a group of trees. Upon impact, driver's and passenger's air bags did not deploy, which did not protect the occupant in this crash.
Tire went flat, and while trying to change the tire the panel in which the jack pad is located pulled out of the body when car was jacked up resulting in the vehicle falling. Dealer has been contacted.
