My check engine lights won't go off. It happened one time a few years back and then someone said that if you make sure the gas cap is really tight that it should make the light go off. I did that, and it didn't work. For no reason that I know of the light did go off. It was off for probably 3 or 4 months. Then it came back on and hasn't gone off again......no explanation for this that I know of.
