Traveling on pa turnpike, vehicle stopped moving. Called for tow to nearest Ford garage (haggerstown, md Ford) for repair. When vehicle was placed on lift rear tire fell off. The axel had broke at the tire. Vehicle had 100,048 miles. Vehicle has no rust or body issues. Vehicle is in very good shape. I feel this is a manufacture defect. I feel this could have caused a serious accident with injuries sustained.
