CarComplaints.com Notes: It's the end of the road for the Crown Victoria as Ford announced it is discontinuing the iconic model at the end of the 2011 model year. While sales were still doing well, Ford realized it would have to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to update the decades-old Panther platform.

With the Crown Vic gone, Ford no longer has a v8 sedan for sale in the US for the first time in nearly 80 years.

2011 Ford Crown Victoria. Consumer writes in regards to steering column shaft recall notice. The dealer informed the consumer, the vehicle would be inspected. However, the consumer stated according to the recall notice, the part would be replaced, as well as inspecting otter parts. The service representative responded again, by saying, first there would be an inspection to determine if the part needed to be replaced. The consumer stated he did not want to waste a day, just for an inspection. So he decided to make an appointment with another establishment, to have to part replaced.
