My new Ford F-150 truck began leaking inside the cab while under warranty. Then again in another area, three months out of warranty (not covered in extended warranty). Then back in again two months later for another leak. While in the shop for a week, the Carriage Ford dealership in Clarksville, IN FAILED to find all the leaks and kept it another week finding yet a fourth leaking spot around the rear window.

The shop foreman told me these leaks were defects in the manufacturing process in Dearborn, Mi. I asked him to make sure these words were included in the (report) paperwork. Had he did as he promised, then Ford would have recognized the factory defect argument; without those words Ford says, "You're on your own, buddy, and thanks for your money".

The shop foreman NEVER advised me that the rental car would be at my expense. In fact, the adviser told me I had the premium package and I get a rental. Now they're back charging me for the whole time, even after they kept it another week because they didn't fix the problem. I called another dealership (where I bought it) and the service manager told me that charge belonged to them because they failed to make it clear the rental "could be at my expense". Had that been done, I would've turned the rental in the next day. Had the dealership found all the leaks while it was under warranty, then it wouldn't have cost me anything. I suspect, this is deliberate on their part assuring them of future business.

I've tried dealing with the regional Ford rep and all he could offer was a 50% "Ford goodwill gesture". This is UNACCEPTABLE. What's funny is that this same rep, authorized four more rental car days, and then the Carriage Ford dealership turns around and charges me!?!?

I wrote the Ford Corporation (William Clay Ford) two times only for the letters to fall back to some flunkee who dismissed everything with an apology letter. Wow.

I didn't create this problem. Ford created this problem and won't own up to it. Ford has failed on many levels here and even created a few more only to fail on them too.

I've searched this issue on the Internet and have found many others to have the same issue. I need help. Horrible experience. I feel robbed, really.

I want everyone to know about this problem, to save them grief and money. I want Ford to step up and do the moral thing.

I just opened a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Louisville.
