2011 Ford Edge Owner Comments

problem #1

Apr 142013

Edge V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

While driving approximately 35 MPH, vehicle just lost power. Was still idling but nothing happen when pressing on the gas. Coasted over to side of road; was running really rough. The wrench warning light was on. Turned off and on and ran fine then. Happened again while backing out of driveway. Turned off and on and was fine. Bill Knight Ford in Tulsa has had the car for 3 days. There is no error code recorded so they cannot figure it out. They have driven it and cannot duplicate the problem. I am totally frustrated right now. I am picking the car up today. HA. He told me next time it happens to drive it over there while the wrench is still on. Ok, sure, I will drive 5 MPG for 30 miles on the turnpike. He says then have it towed here; sure, the wrench lite goes off when you turn the car off. This is a very dangerous problem. Hope if it happens again I don't get rear-ended on the street. GRRRRRRRR

Update from Jun 2, 2013: Bob Hurley Ford replaced the throttle body. So far so good!
