Heat/AC knob quit working first on level 1. Then level 2 & 3 went. Would only blow air if on highest setting. At least it worked, but on highest setting a little too hot/cold... Replaced the switch, but now only works on 2 and in between 3 and 4. Level 1 nothing still.... In fact, the knob won't even turn to level 1! I give up.

Escape XLT 6 cyl

This problem happened right after the a/c condenser quit working. It seems this vehicle is a piece of garbage and I have tried to complain to the dealership but they are not being very understanding of course why would they, they already have your money. I will never buy another ford ever!!!!

Escape XLT 2.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 69,000 miles

My control for the climate control went bad and my heat and ac only worked on high or nothing. It was absolutely annoying it was all or nothing and such a pain in the butt because its not a quiet blower. My car was out of warranty but thank god for ebay and a husband that has some mechanical skills. It cost me $65 to fix but again should this be happening to a 3 year old car.

Escape 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 42,000 miles

I got in my car this morning, and suddenly the fan will only work on the highest setting. I haven't had a chance to call anyone about it yet, but it's definitely annoying. I tried turning the car off and back on, thinking maybe it needed a re-set, but no luck. Of course, this happens JUST when it's out of warranty!

Escape Limited V6

First the blower fan at speed level one failed, followed shortly by speed level two. So, once you have the car at a comfortable temperature, or if you'd like to hear the radio and carry on a conversation, you will not have much luck. After that, it's either "off" or "speed level three"...at least it keeps you alert on long trips!
