Over the past 7years engine oil leak, trans oil leaks, transfer case leaked, rear end leaked. Had to replace gas tank because of leaks First 3 months replaced wheel bearing, had to put in body shop to align hood. This month back hatch window hinge disintegrated, and back hatch won't open ....Does any one think I should buy another Ford? Not pleased..more time in garage then on the road.

Since I purchased my Escape in September of 2013, I have had to take it in almost once a month for service with problems Ford denied it having! By November we could not figure out why it wasn't heating at all and there was a terrible whining when it was driving at 40 or 50kms an hour, mind you the temperature was an average -40 to -50 every night so we associated it with the extreme cold. We took it to our Ford dealership we bought it from and they told us it was fine 3 weeks in a row.

So at Christmas we traveled down south and with the warmer weather it started to thaw out and we saw leaking fluid, took it to the nearest Ford and found the water pump had gone in it. We had a extended warranty but every time something goes wrong we have to pay 60 dollars to get it fixed if it's covered. In January the bearing went, they replaced it under my warranty, then there has been a terrible humming squeak that getting worse that they can't seem to fix after multiple deductibles paid so they would.

Now my transmission is shifting very hard and seems to be struggling in 1 and 2, then our gas mileage disintegrated and when I took it elsewhere for an oil change they informed me they found my tranny fluid to be tarry and full of engine shavings. Take it to Ford they said my tranny fluid is proper like that, which it's not! Then they upgraded my tranny and replaced 2 fuel components saying that would fix it. Just last week, now my fan has gone and doesn't work on 1 and 2 and my hatch won't open, only the glass, and my stereo components are failing. I'm getting rid of it!
