Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Brand new 2010 Ford Escape exhibits harsh, unilateral "clunk" on passenger side while traveling over bumps and dips as if rebound action of shock is failing. This clunk occurs at posted speed limits and may cause a loss of control at higher speeds or more severe bumps or potholes. The local Ford dealer test drove with me and they were initially alarmed, but after driving other Escapes, the same clunk occurs and I was told this is a normal operating characteristic. This is my 2nd Escape and my 2006 does not exhibit this clunk, nor do any other of my vehicles.
