Common problem with Diesel engines according to mechanics. Can only be replaced by pulling the engine out of the truck, that's the majority of the cost. Original estimate was $3600

Engine leaks have been noted several times. Last visit in 6/05 was for an air conditioning not working. We found out it was because the engine had leaked and the hot oil had melted some important tubing!
