My 2001 expedition started with the heater staying on after I shut off the truck and pulled the key out. This over a 6 month period of time went from This to all the dash lights staying on and fuel gage staying on to the 4x4 light blinking when it was not in 4x4. I looked on this sight and found that others had this same problem. I took my truck to the dealership to find out that they had 3 other expeditions in their shop for the same problem. I asked the dealer if this would be covered under warranty and they replied no. I asked if there had been a recall on this since it seems to be a big problem with these vehicles and they replied no. I then called Ford and explained my problem to them and explained that the leak in the windshield was not my fault but a poorly designed flaw on their behalf which has now caused me to have to replace the Gem Module, Fuse box and Replace a windshield that wasn't installed properly from the factory. Their reply was I am sorry sir. Well I know one thing for sure, I buy a new truck every 5 years and I will most likely buy 5 more plus in my life time and I usually spend about $35,000 plus on a vehicle so I am glad to say that Ford will not see one more dime out of the $175,000 that I will spend on automobiles. I will let everyone I know what has happened and that Ford does not stand behind their products like they say they do and if I can convince one person not to buy a Ford I have done my job. Thanks for listening to my complaint and Good luck with yours.
