My 2003 Expedition drivers door ajar light stays on even when the door is closed. The problem is intermittent but is definitely annoying. I fixed it, at least temporarily, by spraying WD-40 in the locking mechanism on the door. Spray it in, open and close a couple times and the problem goes away.

Just can't figure out what is causing the problem or which door the problem resides in. Problem caused the lights to stay on and drain the battery causing my wife and daughter to be stranded.
