I was driving on the interstate when this most recent plug blew. This is the third one overall the 1st 2 cost more because the shop provided the coil. All together I have over $500 in towing and repair cost for this problem. It is an oblivious problem and ford should fix the problem before something worse happens. When there is more than one tool made to fix it when it happens then there is a problem. This is $500 my family which consist of 4 kids could have used. Not to mention we had to cancel our vacation due to the problem.

Plug blew right out smashing coil in the process. Paid $400 to have this repaired only to find that the cylinder is now dead with no compression. Mechanic whom I trust as it is my cousin with his own garage said it will be around $2000 to pull off heads and check for damage. Then I could run into more money if piston is damaged. I had to purchase a used engine with138000 kms on it to replace mine for $1700 taxs incl with one year parts and service warranty plus about $1000 to remove and replace. Grand total of $3100. Im a little angry at ford not doing anything about this.

I am 42 and have driven Ford trucks since 16. My next will not be a Ford. My appreciation for Ford is about as much as they appreciate us consumers right now.

I've only gone 8,000 miles in 18 months and the other side of the head is bad now its going to cost 4,600 to fix and be without a vehicle for a month.

Went to pick up my car and paid 4,600 dollars drove 5 miles and had the same problems took it right back to the dealership and told them the problem isn't fixed, now a week later they call and tell me it is the other side that blew which I guess they couldn't figure out the week prior when they had everything tore apart. Originally they said it was there problem and they would fix it, now they want me to pay the same amount for the second side which was replaced 18 months ago and only has been driven 8,000 and 5 miles the second time

I had a make a wish trip scheduled for my daughter to busch gardens which was cancelled because of the car breaking down. I bought this vehicle because it was big enough to carry all of her equipment and my family and 4 wheel drive for when it snowed. I thought it would be a dependable vehicle to transport my daughter.

Ford dealer was well aware of problem, said car could be driven a short distance at slow speed if necessary, just noisy with a blown plug.
