My dash vents are not sending any A/C out the front vents, and I also feel heat from the floor board of my car along with exhaust emissions. I know that the san diego police had the same problem with their Expedition and they were recalled and repaired, now they changed to Ford Explorer. Is there anything still on the books for the Expedition? the vehicle can be in any function, it is just not working, and also I hear a tumpping noise in my right rear panel. I am unable to send any pictures because everything is covered.

Rusted out rocker panels, brake lines, front end radiator mounts, fender mounts. The entire under carriage is rusting away. We have had to replace all the brake lines as they have rusted away, redid the rocker panels rust away. Now we have to replace the entire front end because of rust. Will not pass pa state inspection due to rust. Is the Expedition in the recall for rust?

While driving in the city on local streets, the engine just stops with no ability to drive. I am an instant safety problem on the road. This happened 3 times in one day. Fortunately, no one was injured. After a few minutes, the car starts up again. My mechanic can't duplicate the problem. Anyone help before there is a major life-threatening accident!! thanks!

Our 2004 Ford Expedition eddie bauer suddenly turns off while we are driving at any speed. In a year's time, it has turned off four or more times. Most of those times, we were traveling at speeds of about 60mph. All of the power shuts off, steering and brakes included. We turn the key off and it does restart. Luckily we have not been in any terrible accidents!

This has occurred a three times in last month...first being in July. I park my vehicle, turn ignition off and pull out key and the air conditioner is still blowing and radio is still going for a couple seconds after key is pulled out...only a couple seconds and immediately shuts itself off. This is definitely an electrical or ignition issue.I do know radio will stay on until door opened, thats a feature of the vehicle, but this is different, air stays blowing"? not sure if this is related to above issue but also having an problem with electrical(") under the hood, at times the vehicle while sitting at a light or drive thru tries to die so much so that you can see the instrument panel lights trying to go out as the car attempts to die. I have put a brand new battery in a couple months ago but its not that, its a weird issue like while holding brake down, it just attempts to die and this is only at times, not every time. When on gas, never an issue at all. Car runs great but seems to have an electrical problem somewhere.

I am the 2nd owner of this vehicle. Had problem w/ drivers seat & mirror fuse blowing out since I purchased truck in August 2011. Some time in 2012 I started having additional problems w/ my truck like radio &/or heating/air not coming on when started. Check engine light going on & off & back windshield wiper stopped working. Then it was the vehicle was dying quickly by leaving the radio on for 10 min after vehicle was turned off. We replaced the battery & terminals that connect at the positive & negative. We had plenty of other issues like the entire brake lines needing replacing due to rusting. There is now rusting on other parts of the truck. Blew fuse to air conditioner 2X. Things seem to be ok after battery was replaced until the truck shut off several times while driving it over the past year. Sometimes if you waited 5-10 minutes it would restart. Vehicle has been in shop & nothing comes back on diagnostic test. We have had the alternator & fuel pump tested. The cables to the battery were just found rotted & replaced but something is still killing my battery. The fuse box has been making loud click noises when the truck struggles to start. Today it wouldn't start again until jumped & now the radio wouldn't go on. At the shop again & the mechanic is stumped but working on it! from research it seems to be either a fuel pump relay that is apparently sodder into the fuse box & almost impossible to replace w/ replacing the whole box or it is the fuse box itself. I am also seeing claims of water leaking down windshield & getting into fuse box. All I know is Ford should acknowledge & recall before someone gets killed! my children were in the car several times now when it staled while I was driving or stuck in parking lot & even a severe thunderstorm when it won't start. And now I'm reading the fuse box has caught fire in some of these cars! I rely on this vehicle!

My truck has started making a very loud noise coming from the front under side of the vehicle. Upon further investigation we have discovered that there was excessive rust and corrosion on the frame. This has caused parts of the engine to shift and rub/ collide with other parts and cause the noises. Our mechanic and my husband both feel that the rust and corrosion have made the vehicle unsafe to drive. There is no way to tell when any part of the engine/vehicle could break free, possibly causing more damage and or an accident while driving. Our vehicle is very well maintained and the amount of rust and corrosion is excessive for the year and mileage on the vehicle. The lack of ability to tell when or where the framework may give out makes it unsafe in our opinion to drive. Especially with children in the vehicle most of the time. The corrosion is also so excessive we believe it is not repairable by any body shop. My frustration with this is that we had not planned on getting a new vehicle and were planning on driving it for quite awhile longer. Other then the rust and corrosion the vehicle is in fairly good condition.. I believe that the rust and corrosion sounds very similar to that described on the Windstar and should be investigated along with the Windstar problems. Finally there is also excessive bubbling of the paint in various locations of the vehicle.

At 500 miles the new driver floorboard had a vibration and grinding noise when the wheel was turned while driving. The dealer kept my car for 2 days and changed out the differentals and packed it with a "fix" from Ford. Driving home from the dealer my car still experienced the same vibrations and grinding. The dealer advised me to drive it 1,000 miles and then return it if it still had turning and grinding. I returned my car to the dealer and have not received a satisfactory fix. I'm worried about a major malfunction happening.
