Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

The contact owns a 2004 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph, the steering wheel became difficult to maneuver as the advance trac stability enhancement system warning light illuminated. The contact mentioned that the failure recurred multiple times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the advance trac failed and needed to be replaced. 2004 Ford Expedition, eddie bauer edition, while driving on hwy at 65-70 mph, steering wheel locked, causing vehicle to enter another lane and bump another vehicle. Driver used all his might to unlock steering wheel, which then made a popping noise before releasing and car spun twice before landing in ditch. By the grace of god, there were no injuries. Now we are afraid to drive the car, because we don't know if it will happen again. Car has been driven for almost 1.5 years and has almost 42,000 miles. Steering wheel sometimes gets locked while in park, but first time this has happened while driving. Car is maintained on a regular basis and has never been in a prior accident.
