The gear shift (PRNDL) fell off the steering column when changing from drive to park. The exact same way I put the vehicle in park countless times. No excessive force was used. My wife didn't believe me though and recommended I attend an anger management class. Repaired at local Ford dealer for $$$. Handling was never the same afterwards. Steering was "whippy".
