I do not have remote locks on my vehicle. However as I was getting out of my Explorer, I pressed the lock button on the armrest. i heard all locks click into place, however, I noticed the driver's door lock lever was still sticking up. It wouldn't lock! I tried to press the actual lock lever down, and it's stuck. I cannot even lock it with the key.
Now I have to be cautious where I drive so no one breaks into my SUV. Actually, they don't have to "break in", they can just open the door! UGH!
The outside door handle has been acting up in the past couple of months. You have pull the handle up as far as you can before it will actually unlatch and open the door. It's almost to the point where you think it's going to span off.
Hopefully if a thief tries to open my door because they see it's unlocked, will fail because they don't know to pull the handle up high enough!
I had a problem thru the winter where the manual key lock (on the driver's door of course) kept sticking. I put some graphite lubricant in the lock (put it on the key and put the key in, turned it a few times) and this helped greatly!
What's next, the driver's window?? UGH!
