CarComplaints.com Notes: How can we give the 2001 model year a "seal of pretty good" when it has some problems with a slipping transmission and a known problem with the speed activation control switch? Because it's not the 2002. That's how.

Air bag light keeps going off and on. Mentioned it to service manager at ford garage when I had my oil changed. He stated that ford had a safety memo out on the problem but refuses to recall. He further stated that ford would not fix the problem as they don't consider it a safety concern. The problem is that the air bags may or may not deploy when in an accident. How can this not be a safety issue. Ford garage wants approximately $1200.00 dollars to fix the problem.
