Yeah Ive had a few Issues with my Explorer or EXPLODER as my friends and I sometimes like to call it. But my transmission randomly gets stuck in gear and takes some considerable force to get into gear. Sometimes after shifting it hesitates to move on its own. You have to give it a little throttle to get it going. It is my opinion that Ford 's quality SUCKS. I Just replaced the alternator for the THIRD time. And some cracked up mechanic looked at it after it broke down and i had it towed, that it would cost over $700!!!!! to Switch out alternators!!! Bought one for $250 and did it myself. screw you mechanic. I find It Ironic that when I was looking at all the other complaints there was a AD for the F150. Can't hate, make money CarComplaint's. My ultimate solution; trade this POS in for as much as I can, before the tranny really goes. And I am stuck with a $3000 repair cost for a car i purchased new at the end of 05 for $40,000 +. Thanks Ford hope all that money from the government keeps you up and running making shabby cars. Where does-the money go?!?
