Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Gear shift indicator snapped in nashville, tn on crosscountry trip from Arizona to Maryland, stranding us 36 hours in nashville. Gear shift indicator would not go into park. Cable fixed, but it must have taken out our alarm system and steering wheel locking mechanism. Steering wheel will not lock unless you yank it 900 to the right or left. Koons Ford in annapolis, md, told us this was "normal" on the locking problem, and that four other vehicles on their lot do the same thing. !@#$%. we now have an appointment on Sept 1 for them to repair the locking mechanism after my daughter called them this past wheel completely unable to unlock the steering column. Ford service is an oxymoron. There is no such thing.
