Top front of fuel tank rusted out and fuel leaks especially when tank is full. Other areas on top are also very close to rusting thru. Ironically there was a recall few years ago to replace the 2 gas tank holding straps and the Ford dealer said the gas tank was fine "!? so either he was blind or didn't have a flash light or have an inspection mirror or was too lazy to replace the gas tank because it isn't an easy job " I feel that Ford has endangered my life and my family's life due to their blatant show of incompetence and irresponsibility ! once the gasoline should ignite it will catch the gas tank on fire resulting in a fireball and explosion. I also have any more pictures if needed. Thank you,

While inspecting my vehicle for fuel strap recall 11S21, it was noted that the frame of my F150 was rusted through at the location where the new strap would be installed. My Ford dealer told me that they could not replace the recalled strap until the frame was repaired (at my expense). Ford does not repair the frame under the recall, only replaces the strap. I feel that Ford should do the frame repair as part of the recall, as the strap was less rusty than the frame. The straps, in my opinion, were of similar quality as the frame, only thinner metal. My truck has been very well maintained, but the undercarriage has been rusting excessively since new. I own much older Ford vehicles with no such issue; my opinion is that Ford sourced poor quality materials when building these model year trucks. I also have rust holes in the transmission dipstick tube and exhaust manifolds. No reason for this excessive corrosion, since I have been diligent about maintaining this truck. My 1982 Ford van has no such issues, and it has not been cared for as well as this truck. Thanks for your help.

When backing up after my F150 has been sitting about 2 days I have no brakes unless I rev up the engine for about 20 sec to build up pressure in the electric vacuum brake booster. Have almost hit my wife's car if I forget to let it sit to build up pressure. I have contacted my Ford dealer and they won't do anything about it because I am past the warranty. I am going to have to replace it myself because this is unsafe condition and Ford won't repair it. Also my truck loses power sometimes when accelerating and Ford stated that the turbo chargers are sometimes sucking in water that shuts down one side of the engine to prevent damage to the turbo chargers. There fix is to put a shield or longer tube on it to prevent this. Again because it is over the warranty period they won't do anything. Very disappointed in my F-150 3.5 ecoboost and won't be buying another one.

Ford recall 11S21 gas tank strap recall performed at lucas Ford in burlinton NJ. They said the strap pulled through rotted frame and Ford said because the recall only says they have to replace rusted straps they will not repair. They told them to put new straps on leaving rear one not connected. If this is a safety recall this is a fail as my truck could still have the tank drop and burst into flames. This is the same as Toyota recall for poorly treated frames just Ford was allowed to only replace 20 dollars straps that probably aren't even the problem.

Received recall from Ford Motor Co about gas tank straps. Scheduled appointment with freedom Ford 3941 admiral peary hwy ebensburg pa 15931. Went to freedom they looked at my truck told me that straps rusted frame and would need to be repaired I told to do it, that it should be covered because of premature rusting of straps. Service writer said it is not covered it would have to be sent to his mechanics house and would cost $300. I asked why it could not be done at freedom and he stated they do not do that work here. I told him I do not have the money that it should be covered. He said that they would not repair it. I left freedom and my tank fell after arriving home. I have been unable to use my truck and believe Ford should pay to have this repaired.

Filled up tank and the front gas strap failed about one mile later in town. Gas fill tube broke off of tank and poured gas out on road, while pushing tank through gas. Pulled over in nearest parking lot because of noise of tank being pushed on pavement. Parking lot was a grocery store full of cars and people getting groceries on a snow storm night. I had to start and move the vehicle after inspection so that I did not blow up people! moved it to the back of the lot. Snow storm saved my life and many other people. Hazmat came, police came. Huge expensive fuel spill. I had tried to get the straps replaced twice before this incident and Ford did not have parts or time.
