Truck will not go into proper gear. You have to put emergency brake on and put transmission in neutral to crank the vehicle. Then you have to put gear shift into a different gear setting to be able to drive. The auto gear box linkage cable has issues. The truck will not go into park and will result in the vehicle running you over or run into something.

First I purchased the Ford F-150 2000 year model from a car dealership on Oct 28, 2019. Immediately there was problems keeping it running. They put a new battery in it 2 days later then while reaching 50 mph my tons would drop and the truck would not accelerate I had just put 51 dollars in the tank, then I pushed the gas to the floor my rooms would go all the way to 3 then I would have to let off the gas and it seemed to do a hard switch in gear. As this continued the entire truck shook till I figured ok just pump the gas and let off before the shaking got to bad. Now the shaking as gotten worse and the truck seems to not want to accelerate at all or does a hard stall. It is supposed to have a new low range motor with only 100,000 miles on it at least the dealer told me that, I also verbally made an agreement with the dealer that if anything was to go wrong he would fix it, he agreed. Now that I have seen my truck has 18 recalls and one that has not been fixed, a duplicate title and had 2 liens I honestly want my money back.im a single mother going to college and I'm all my daughter gots. I told the dealer I needed a reliable vehicle. The vehicle was in motion all times and it does it on the hwy and city streets.

While in neutral there is a whinning noise push clutch in it quietens but its tough switching into gears. It grinds very hard to put shifter in any gear. Now it whines all the time. And it grinds even more now going from first to second upon accelerating. When in reverse it stutters really bad ive checked all fluids.

2000 Ford F-150. Consumer states wheel rims started to rust out in one year the consumer also stated the bumper rusted out in one year, and the ABS light illuminated. The brakes were inspected several times, but no problem was found. The high beams would not come on, the plastic on the outside rearview mirror fell off, the dome light in the cab wouldn't come on, and the tailgate wouldn't close, the windshield wiper washer, wipers and heating system did not work. The power steering pump leaked all the time, the gear shifter wouldn't go into park. The fuel strap failed three years ago and caused the fuel tank to fall to the ground.

I was just driving and felt a vibration and have spent a lot of money trying to figure the problem out and no one knows why it is vibrating. I have had my tires road forced and check. I have had an alignment. I have had my crankshaft checked. I have had the tires balanced. I saw a bulletin on valves and that seems to be the closest to my situation I have the information on the valves and will be happy to share that with you. I have spent a lot of money at the dealer and independent shops even a transmission shop and no one can figure it out. I would like to have this 1-2 year problem solved. The front end has been replaced and check as well.

2000 Ford lightning super charger intercooler leaks coolant into the engine. Once the coolant is drained, it can cause a condition called vapor lock, which will lock the motor without warning. This would be cause from the super heated air then entering from the super charger. This could cause an accident, and I'm sure is not great for emissions since coolant is now being leaked into the combustion chamber.

The trans always felt funny but the dealer said it was normal.I have had the dealer service the trans every 30,000 miles and between services trans was drained every 15,000 miles and had new trans fluid. I have a orange taged transmission and I was told by the dealer it had to be replaced.the 4R100 trans and the E40D have had a high premature failure and Ford in my opinion is operating under deceptive practices by keep selling trucks with a known defect. I was told by one dealer the trans has a 90% chance of failure. Ford wants between $3,200 and $3,800 to replace the trans.
