: the contact stated prior to having the recall work performed, the accelerator pedal stuck. The recall for the cruise control was performed, but the problem with the accelerator pedal remained. This happened at any speed, without the cruise control activated. The vehicle has not been to a mechanic, but the contact determined the throttle cable is sticking.

While applying the accelerator pedal it stuck. This caused the vehicle to accelerate uncontrollably. Vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the throttle body needed to be replaced.

Accelerator is sporadically sticking while driving. Feels like the pedal has lost its spring up. Throttle body has already been replaced, but it is still happening. It is during cold weather, but the truck has been warmed up prior to this occurrence.

I was coming home from work when the gas pedal was really stiff so I stepped down harder and the gas stuck wide open. I had to use my brakes until I could get it to slow down as I was at the top of a large hill. I tried putting it into netral but the rpms went to 6. I just about burnt my brand new brakes up. I slowed it down as much as I could and then put it into neutral and shut it off immediately. My husband then opened the hood and noticed the cable was stuck and wrapped up in the assembly. Once loose the accelerator returned to normal. It was absolutely terrifying as I nearly wrecked the truck going down the hill with the brake pedal pushed to the floor and my anti-lock brakes clicking the whole time.

Consumer was backing out of the driveway, stepping on accelerator which was stiff, consumer stepped on it harder which promptly floored and stuck. Consumer had to shift into neutral turning the key off and had to unstick accelerator by hand. This vehicle has had the accelerator to stick twice after the initial incident. Ford was aware of the problem and said it was a cold weather moisture problem. Vehicle has been fixed, but because there wasno cold weather at this time consumer was not sure.....

Outdoor temperature 13 degrees F. accelerator stuck when accelerating truck when leaving home. It seems as if ice had affected the accelerator system. After holding brake while still moving forward, I tapped on accelerator pedal several times before it returned to idle speed. If this had not worked, I would have shifted to neutral or shut down the motor after a few more seconds. Is there a recall for this problem?
