This is the SECOND time water has found its way into the fuse box / GEM module in my '02 F-150. A very common problem in various Ford model vehicles, it has now happened to me not once, but twice. This time, the dealership claims it was not the window that leaked, but a small hole in my firewall. I can't help but get the feeling I am being screwed and water was leaking through the firewall in the first place. At $800 plus a pop, this repair isnt cheap. Such a disgraceful problem should've been recognized and corrected by Ford a long time ago. I am as of right now looking into legal action to take. Never will I buy another Ford.

Ford built the F150 with the front window not properly sealed. This leaked over time and caused the blower, power windows, 2 fuse boxes, a module to short and burn out over time. Parts replaced but owner not told of leaky window until about $4000 in repairs over the space of a year were done. A glass shop took out window, found it had not been sealed and then replaced and sealed. No problems since. Over 10 complaints with the U.S. Department of Transport. Many vehicles replacing fried electronics and not knowing about the window. Ford will not issue notice.
