Ford extended warranty on the fuel injectors for sticking open, but only to 80,000 miles, so mine has more. It was running fine then one day the injector stuck open and caused a misfire on cylinder 4. It bent piston rod. Now they want $8,000 to fix. That's my only truck I need it for work and I bought Ford thinking it was a reliable truck. I have owned a total of 5 Fords and all of them have made it to at least 250,000, but not this one. Ford is just not reliable anymore and they knew that this 5.4 was a POS and still put it out there for us to buy. It's not that I got a bad one, they're all bad with the 5.4, it's just when will it go bad.

There have been 3 injection failures on this truck. This is the second time for this issue. I use it as a car for back and forth to work. Very light usage but many issues with the truck. Now I must replace all of the injectors, new spark plugs due to this last issue.

A real lemon from the start.

Drove the truck to a town 15 minutes from my house. Ran perfectly. Shut it off and I could smell raw gas. Engine was flooded. Towed to dealership. They replaced the failed injector and changed oil and filter. Still ran a little rough but it did run.
